Michael and Renee are the hands on owners, working alongside the staff and overseeing every aspect of the day to day operations. They first met 17 years ago at Il Maestro Ristorante in Hyannis, where Michael was the Chef/Owner and they've been working together ever since.

Michael enjoyed 28 successful years with Il Maestro and now the couple is realizing a longtime dream and opening their new business, Ristorante Avellino, in the beautiful town of Falmouth where they reside.

Avellino is a small town in southern Italy in the Campania region, east of Napoli and it is where Michael's family is from. All the recipes they're bringing to Falmouth are the same authentic family recipes passed down for generations, on which Il Maestro built its reputation.
